“2009 Gravity Wave” Pictures in Scottsboro
Posted by pennyApr 30
There were more than just me that were “snapping” pictures on Monday after the storm. I have heard that so many people did not get to see how our beautiful town got turned into what look like a “war zone”- so I decided to make a category for just these pictures and then I can always add more to it. I will try to get my pictures from my storm post transferred over to it too.
These were pictures that Richi R. took in Lake View Shores Area:
The following are from Erin W. in the City Park/Winn Road Area/Commodore Street:
The pictures that follow are from Erica R. (Hood Avenue):
Following pictures are ones that Addair M. took in the Meadows and more in the Skyline Shores Area:
These pictures below are ones that Justin Mayhew took (Rolling Hills Area and Highway 72):
This great picture of the “Bradley Street Storm Clean-Up” Crew was sent to me from Becky Bridges:
Below are the pictures that I took that were in the “Storm Post” a couple of days ago. These were taken in County Park area, Dowtown area and Cimarron Drive:
This is the tree that fell over College.
My front yard which was nothing really when you look at other people’s homes and yards (thanks to those men with chain saws in the yard – working in the dark).
This is the French’s trampoline (or was) that is back in the woods at their house.
Home on Cimarron Drive.
Home on Byron Road.
The Moody’s Home on Roseberry Drive.
The Britt’s Home on Roseberry (this hit their garage).
Another tree in the Britt’s yard that fell across Roseberry Drive.
The same tree as above but they had cut the top off that was across the road so that people could get through…
This was the home (entrance of Jackson County Park) and had several trees down.
Jackson County Park
Jackson County Park- over the walking trail
More at Jackson County Park.
More at Jackson County Park. It is like this throughout the park. Everywhere you look, you see trees pulled up from their roots.
Close to the water/camp ground at Jackson County Park.
On the way out of the Jackson County Park.
This was a tree at the Jackson County Park but this is what you saw everywhere in the County Park, City Park, Goosepond, Rolling Hills area, Lakeview Shores, Downtown and other places in Scottsboro.
The Pavillion at the Jackson County Park.
One last tree root to wrap this up at Jackson County Park.
